Discover the magic of rail this summer at Kilmeadan Station. On Sunday 21st June celebrate Mid-Summer's Day and Father's Day with a magic show at the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway. Meet Choo Choo the Clown and enjoy his magic show before Belinda Bunny escorts you to the train for a 40 minute trip through the Suir Valley on a narrow gauge railway.
This is part of a series of Fun Days arranged by the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway for the summer season. Choo Choo the Clown's half hour magic show will begin at quarter past the hour from 11.15am until 4.15pm. The train trips are on the hour from 12noon until 5pm. There is no extra charge for the show. Family tickets begin at €18.00 for 2 adults and 1 child. Adults fares is €8.00, Students and Senior Citizens are €6.50. Advance bookings are not taken.
The railway is open for the regular summer schedule from 11am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and 12noon to 5pm on Sunday. The Waterford & Suir Valley Railway is a voluntary community project set up to develop a narrow gauge railway as a tourist attraction on the section of the abandoned Waterford - Dungarvan Railway line from Kilmeadan Station to Waterford City. The tourist railway is open for its seventh season offering a 40 minute return train journey from Kilmeadan Station to Carriganore.
