Schedule: Every hour on the hour between 10am and 4pm.Fares: Child group rate €3.50 - 1 teacher / adult travels free with every 10 children.

The magic of rail has been brought to life at Kilmeaden. Board the train at Kilmeaden station and journey through the countryside and along by the River Suir. The trip is fun and educational as you learn about the history of the area, passing sights such as the ruins of Kilmeaden Manor, well preserved lime kilns and the recently discovered site of a very important Viking settlement in Woodstown. You also get a glimpse in to the world famous Mount Congreve Gardens.
Younger children enjoy the excitement of being on a train and relate to the smaller carriages, little diesel engine and narrow gauge track. The 12km round trip takes 40 minutes as the train travels at 16km per hour.
