Comeraghs Wild Festival – Choo Choo Fun Days at Waterford Suir Valley Railway
Discover the magic of rail with a 40-minute train trip through the countryside beside Waterford Greenway and the River Suir. Get a glimpse into Mount Congreve Gardens and make a wish in the Magic wood. Children will be given a treasure hunt sheet to do before and during the journey.
Saturday 12th July – Meet Honey and Barry Bear
Meet Honey Bear and Barry Bear at Kilmeadan Station before your train journey. Shake their hands, get a hug and have your photo taken with the friendly bears. Children can also visit our friendly face painter to get a little memento of the day on their face or hand.
Sunday 13th July– Horgan’s Magnificent Magic Show.
Children will be amazed by Graham Horgan and his 20-minute Magic Show before each train trip. And as if that wasn’t enough there will be face painting also!
To make it a day out enjoy refreshments, Annette’s Bakehouse treats, or a creamy ’99 in the Whistlestop Café. You are welcome to bring your own picnic. There are indoor and outdoor picnic tables available. All facilities wheelchair accessible. Book in advance to avoid disappointment.
