BOOK HERE FOR SANTA EXPRESS
Christmas is always an exciting time at the Waterford Suir Valley Railway. We are delighted to welcome Santa to Kilmeadan Station this year. He is so looking forward to meeting everyone.
Set off on an exciting journey on a real train beside Waterford Greenway and by the majestic River Suir to meet Mrs Claus and friends in the Magic Wood. The Fairies in the Magic Wood have been busy making the magic dust that will help Santa find your house on Christmas night. Mrs Claus has some for every child. The train journey and visit with Mrs Claus takes about 25 minutes.
Return to Kilmeadan Station to meet the Mayfield Bird’s of Prey, take photos at the many photo opportunity props around the Station or enjoy a hot chocolate from the Whistlestop Café until you are called in to the carriage to make your way to Santa’s Railway Cottage.
Santa is in a cosy railway cottage. Families are invited to have a private visit with Santa. Children can have a chat with Santa and receive a good quality present.
There will be the opportunity to take a photo with Santa. A printed photo memento of the visit is optional and costs €8, payable on the day.
Covid 19 Protocols
Protocols will also be in place to provide a safe environment for all his visitors and helpers on the day. The train capacity has been reduced for your comfort and safety and to facilitate social distancing. Santa and his elf will be protected by a screen to ensure the experience is comfortable and safe for everyone. Masks must be worn in indoor settings.
